Just before JFK arrived in a tour, this picture was taken in MSFC’s Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory Missile Assembly Building 4705. The C-1 Saturn I is shown in the background, bottom left is the Jupiter with Explorer IV mounted and in the foreground, is the Mercury-Redstone Rocket that placed our first Explorer I Satellite and our first men in space, Al Shepard and Gus Grissom.
