Spacecraft Lagrange L2 Observation Station

AVI Video

The spacecraft will travel for 2 months from the Moon to the L2 observing point. It will then remain at L2, always with the Earth and Sun behind it. The orbit loop around L2 is 6 months in duration, and always keeps the Earth's shadow from blocking the sun on the solar arrays. Credit: NASA WMAP Science Team

Animation created by the WMAP Graphics Studio, using Strata Studio Pro 2.5.3 / Abobe AfterEffects

May use the Sorenson2 codec, the Quicktime versions do.
