The station needs to be "spun down" before crew capsules can dock and undock. Does this have "life boat" safety implications?

If the docking system (Dragon: CBM, Soyuz: probe and cone) can withstand the partial gravity, then that craft could be docked to the "floor" of the station. The other end of the inflatable module would be connected to something like a kevlar ribbon. The counterweight could possibly be a rocket second stage. This would have to "spin down" before docking, but occupants could escape quickly. T.Neo 08:18, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
