If you change the other element articles besides helium after this point, be sure to let me know on my user talk page so i can back them up before JamesG runs autostub. I'll make a place to list them. Jarogers2001 15:04, 6 February 2007 (PST)
- I already have the watch feature on those articles, however I may miss some edits as I never know when or for how long I will be able work in lunarpedia due to my schedule. It was meant as a contingency. 67.63.172.166 09:15, 7 February 2007 (PST)
On Category:Mining and Category:ISRU both are subcategories of each other. Mike is afraid that if someone exploits this and expands the subcategory screen past 200 it will cause horrible burning death. Jarogers2001 12:07, 18 March 2007 (PDT)
Anonymous Attacks
There's another option, one that's less bad than prohibiting anonymous contributions: set up capchas for anonymous edits, not just account creation. So far none of our attackers are ones who are using workarounds for them.

- Actually, you had already caught on to a weakness of this attacker. By going for a saturation attack it's actually attacking more than once from some nodes. So blocking the IPs its using should actually have an impact... it has a relatively small number of zombies at its disposal -- Strangelv 14:23, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi Charles and James, Just thought I'd drop a message to find out where we stood with these spambot attacks. Looks like Lunarpedia and Exodictionary are being hammered, so it's only a matter of time until Marspedia goes the same way. I've been tidying up the damage on marspedia and bloking IPs for 1 week (why 1 week and not infinite?). Let me know if I can help out. -- Ioneill 18:57, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
communications entries
I have no problem combining the two communication entries.
My purpose was to purpose the use of optical communications for lunar commercial operations.
Do you want to do it?

bot attacks
Hi Charles, though the bot is currently not active on both Lunarpedia and Marspedia, I have prepared a special captcha. Please look at Marspedia:Captcha to get an idea. I have not tested it, so if you give it a try, please keep the original source code files in a safe place and restore if something goes wrong. Good luck! --Rfc 11:54, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks For the Welcome
If there is a snail mail address for lunarpedia posted somewhere, I can send my name and address. I would not put it anywhere that I thought might become publicly available. I had an e-mail address years ago until I was hounded away from it by spamers. --Farred 15:16, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
