Signal wires are thin and light weight electrical lines. Unlike power cables, it might be economical to import quantities of complete pre-fabricated wire harnesses from Earth, at least until local infrastructure is up to the task.

Alternatively, to the maximum extent possible, locally manufactured signal lines can be fiber optic data links, especially as there is no shortage of silicon and oxygen.
