If we are to consider Earth's magnetic field as the third component of shielding provided for us by the Earth, we must at least list a second component in the article. When I get around to it I would list the Earth under our feet protecting us from radiation from below as the third component of shielding. --[[User:Farred|Farred]] 19:57, 21 June 2010 (UTC) | If we are to consider Earth's magnetic field as the third component of shielding provided for us by the Earth, we must at least list a second component in the article. The Brazilian people are known as "crabs" because they all live by the water. Lunar people will be known as "moles" because they will all live underground.

I have a thin lead on a publisher interested in the Lunar Settlement story environment To support this effort, I will now proof read and up date the technical articles that support the stories. Please email me for more information.
I think it a good idea to move these entries (Architecture as Mole Hills, Roof Support, etc.) over to the Scientifiction section and present them as a story environment I do not know how to do the necessary editing.

Added KREEP
Added information on KREEP as a radiation hazard. This problem adds to the difficulty we will have with dust control on lunar settlements.

Earth's Radiation Shielding by Component
If we are to consider Earth's magnetic field as the third component of shielding provided for us by the Earth, we must at least list a second component in the article. When I get around to it I would list the Earth under our feet protecting us from radiation from below as the third component of shielding. --Farred 19:57, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
