Anorthite

Anorthite is a mineral similar to Bauxite. It's composition is CaAl₂Si₂O₈.

Anorthite is the primary component of the rock Anorthosite. Anorthosite is the primary rock in the lunar highlands, and is responsible for their relative brightness compared to the basaltic lowlands.
