Content Tags

Stub

This article is a stub. You can help Lunarpedia by expanding it or sorting it into the correct stub subcategory.

The {{Stub}} tag indicates that someone believes that the article is mostly in the earliest stages of starting should be expanded (remove it if this appears to be a mistaken belief, or add it to another article for which this seems to you to be true that lacks such a tag; also remove if you or someone else just made it cease to be a stub).
You can browse Category:Stubs for articles that you can improve without a substantial amount of effort.
As of February 2007, it is probably appropriate for most of Lunarpedia's articles to be stub class. Guidelines for the boundaries between stub articles, start class articles, and possibly definitions (create a definition stub tag for articles that need to be brought up to proper dictionary standards?)

Autostub

This article is an automatically generated stub. As such it may contain serious errors.
You can help Lunarpedia by expanding or correcting it.

{{Autostub}} is a special case of stub article. This article stub was created by a script. A good rule of thumb for when to replace this with a regular stub tag or remove it should probably be developed.

Empty List

This List has no content. You can help Lunarpedia by starting it.

The {{Empty List}} tag indicates that there's nothing in a list article. If the list article now has has list items, please remove it.

A full list of handy stubs for use on Lunarpedia can be found in the Stubs article.

Copyediting

Category:Cleanup can be browsed for articles with these tags. These articles are singled out for formatting, spelling, and other issues.

Cleanup

Work on this article has outpaced copyediting on it. You can help Lunarpedia by formatting, editing, or tidying it.

The {{Cleanup}} tag indicates that someone believes that the article could be cleaned up at least a little (remove it if this appears to be a mistaken belief, or add it to another article for which this seems to you to be true that lacks such a tag; also remove if you or someone else just did a pretty good job of copyediting on it). This tag does not specify what needs to be worked on.

Wikify

This article is not yet properly formatted.
You can help Lunarpedia by Editing it
.
Please remove this template when it is sufficiently well formatted.

{{Wikify}} refers only to wiki formatting for an article, making no comment on its other attributes that might have been in need of work. When the article is fully formatted appropriately for use in a Wiki, please remove this tag from it.

Unencyclopedic

This article may not have sufficiently encyclopedic formatting or tone. You can help Lunarpedia by formatting, editing, or reworking it.

{{Unencyclopedic}} indicates that an article is not in an appropriate tone for an encyclopedic article. This will be especially true of articles added here from other sources. The longer an article is, the more work it may require before it is time to remove this tag.

Timeliness

Pending

This article is about a pending event, and the information here is prone to change or obsolescence. You can help Lunarpedia by updating it.

The {{Pending}} tag indicates that the article is about an upcoming event and by definition will not necessarily be a completely accurate reflection of the event once it has transpired. Once the event has happened, please remove this tag or replace it with one indicating what work needs to be done to make the article more appropriate for documentation of a historical event.

Possibly Obsolete

This article is potentially obsolete. You can help Lunarpedia by updating it.

{{Possibly Obsolete}} is used for articles with transitory information that hasn't been updated recently and may no longer accurately reflect the situation as of when a user reads the article.

Copyright and Ownership

Wikipedia

WP
This article is based on content from Wikipedia.

The {{Wikipedia}} tag is for articles that were originally imported from Wikipedia. These articles are NOT part of the public domain and MUST NEVER be included in the main namespace. The articles belong in the GFDL namespace with their full revision histories imported.

PD Violation

WARNING: This article may have content that is not in the public domain!
  • If the problem content can be identified, please remove it immediately!
  • If not already relocated, this article should be moved outside of the main namespace.
  • If the content can not be identified, rewrite this article from scratch with the assumption that the entire article is in someone else's copyright. Upon completion of such a rewrite, delete this article.

The {{PD Violation}} tag indicates that content has been placed in the main name space whose presence is an infringement of copyright or something similarly severe. These situations must be addressed in an expeditious fashion. Only when the crisis is resolved may this tag be removed.

Testing

Script Test

This article is a script test and is not appropriate for editing. Please discuss what should be different in the talk page.

The {{Script Test}} tag is added to an article that represents a test of a script and should not be edited for content. It is not the topic of the article but rather the representation of the script output that needs to be as accurate as possible.
