12 September 2006

Implementation 1 was set up by Dana Carson and Mike Delaney using CGI PHP on Cyberteam's pb7 server and remotely accessing MySQL from a Hosting365.ie account, possibly on a server located in Belgium. It was renowned for its slowness.

01 October 2006

Implementation 2 was set up as PHP 5 running on its own Apache server on pb7 using port 8888, with a small amount of speed improvement over Imprementation 1. For unknown reasons it wasn't possible to change user account status, and both it and Implementation 1 ran simultaneously using the same remote database.

13 October 2006

Implementation 3 was set up completely on Dreamhost, and Implementations 1 and 2 were immpdiately redirected towards it. Speed was considerably improved.

By vote of the Lunarpedia team, the decision was made for multiple licences, with Public Domain being the default.


17 October 2006

The GFDL and CC_Luna namespaces were set up.

Peter Kokh submits his 2600 word outline.


8 January 2007

On this day there were 92 revisions to Lunarpedia, the work of four users: James Rogers (36 updates), James Gholston (30 updates), Geoffrey Landis (18 updates), and Charles Radley (9 updates).
