There is a slight relation between the directed energy weapons discussed in this article and use of directed energy on Luna. For instance it has been mentioned that microwave energy might be used on Luna to form vitrious pavement on roads to hold down dust. Excavating with directed energy is a Star Treck idea. It will not happen on Luna. On the ballance, I think the directed energy weapons article should be removed from Lunarpedia.
