It produces a contour map of altitude with colored dots showing the slope.  Professional software for this task is not expected to become available at the student level in mid 2011 or 2012.

The specific example provided is the peak of Mount Malapert. This is a prime location for a lunar settlement.

This process is being developed as a Open Design effort. Input from anyone interested will be appreciated.
