Tethers Unlimited (or "TU") is a company founded by the late Dr. Robert L. Forward and Robert Hoyt to commercialize applications of tethers for space propulsion and other applications. They have launched a set of three picosatellites intended for use in the company's "Multi-Application Survivable Tether" (MAST) experiment. The current status of MAST is described on its blog page
