I would like to log in, but this terminal is shared occasionally with others who down-load music and games from questionable sources.  I really do not know how to get rid of spy ware that would compromise the security of my log-on password.  Certainly I cannot use this terminal for credit card purchases, which would be the target of some spy ware.  Perhaps I can get the thing to boot from read only memory and a read only disk every time and start out with a formatted blank hard drive.  Getting the help I would need for arrangements is something I might never get around to.  I can use another terminal that is secure, but it involves a little planning.

Call me Farred

I would like to log in, but this terminal is shared occasionally with others who down-load music and games from questionable sources. I really do not know how to get rid of spy ware that would compromise the security of my log-on password. Certainly I cannot use this terminal for credit card purchases, which would be the target of some spy ware. Perhaps I can get the thing to boot from read only memory and a read only disk every time and start out with a formatted blank hard drive. Getting the help I would need for arrangements is something I might never get around to. I can use another terminal that is secure, but it involves a little planning.

Sorry to disappoint you with not really being a new user. - by Farred from an untrusted terminal 207.224.85.91 03:36, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
