Greetings, Strangelv is on vacation for a few days, I expect he will contact you upon his return.  Sorry for the delay.

Seasons greetings and and best regards. (unsigned by User:Cfrjlr)

:Imported along with the talk page.  Note that it may not be meaningful to add them individually as work is in progress on a script to create feature articles in bulk (as in more than 9000 articles in one go).  Obviously, you're more than welcome to help.<BR/>--Strangelv 18:47, 27 December 2006 (PST)

"Be happy to help. I'm new to editing though, and my html is rusty."  How is your trigonometry?  What is the area of a squarish section of the surface of a sphere between two latitudes and two longitudes, such as the approximate area of 7.5 to 22.5 N and 0 to 15 East?  We also need to identify what square degrees are occupied by an arbitrary circle on the surface (so that we can identify algorithmically which squarish sectors may include a given Lunar feature)

I need group numbers for the lantanides and actinides.  What convention do you agree most with, or what convention would you suggest whether or not anyone else is using it? IUPAC offers no rules at this time.  Wikipedia notes some solutions that are in use here. --Strangelv 17:22, 26 January 2007 (PST)

Could you email me at [address] so I can email you the spreadsheet?  I've added to it most of what I can easily or meaningfully add, although there was a page with discoverers of various elements somewhere that I've misplaced. -- Strangelv 18:51, 31 January 2007 (PST)

::: You might ask the guys over at ReefPedia if they know.

:::: Look again.  The only stuff below their search box is the same stuff we have below on ours. We may be on our own for working out how to do that.  Possibly stick the search box above the menubar altogether instead of trying to figure out how to insert it into it? -- Strangelv 09:17, 2 February 2007 (PST)

::::: Hmmmm is it possible to edit the toolbox section and put the maintenance area in there?  Putting it above the menu bar may very well be the best option. Jarogers2001 09:51, 2 February 2007 (PST)

:::::: I wonder if we can clone the menubar and have an upper and lower one.  We need a place to discuss specifications for our modified monobook.  -- Strangelv 10:36, 2 February 2007 (PST)

List of Elements to be Backed Up

This is the list periodic table articles that have changed since their last export. They should be re-exported before autostub runs.

Backups aren't useful. In fact, they're problematic in that I don't know a way to consolidate the histories of two articles, unless it's to manually export both articles, painstakingly merge them by hand, then reimport them. Look at the history of Lunarpedia:TEST1 -- the new content is there, it's just not on the front page. Click on the date that didn't turn out right and you'll see the uploaded content.

Also, I may not be able to run the update soon. I need to rework the script first, run another test, make additional changes, and my remaining time and energy forthe day are about ot get hijacked. -- Strangelv 13:48, 6 February 2007 (PST)

Probably the best way to back up individual articles is to export them. -- Strangelv 13:51, 6 February 2007 (PST)
