AFTER A FEW MINUTES, NEDELIN IGNORED DEFUELING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND SENT SCIENTISTS AND TECHNICIANS TO INSPECT THE FAILURE. NEDELIN WAS KILLED TOO! KHRUSHCHEV ORDERED MARSHALL NEDELIN TO LAUNCH WHILE HE WAS AT U.N. KRUSHCHEV WAS IRATE THAT HE MISSED AN IMPORTANT POLITICAL EVENT.
