Space Studies Institute
The Space Studies Institute was founded in 1977 by the late Gerard K. O'Neill. The Space Studies Institutes stated mission is as follows:
"Opening the energy and material resources of space for human benefit by completing the missing technological links to make possible the productive use of the abundant resources in space."
Lee Valentine is the current president of SSI.
